Gabby’s sick. He missed school for the second day now. DJ, the ever responsible brother, got his brother’s homework from the teachers so that Gabby can catch up with the rest of the class. Gabby missed the lesson on common and proper nouns. He asked Mommy to explain it to him, and she did.

After explaining, Mom asked: Is ‘supehero’ a noun?

Gabby: Yes.

Mommy: How about ‘Batman’?

Gabby: Yes.

Mommy: Okay, which one is the proper noun – superhero or Batman?

Gabby Says:

Uhmm… Bruce Wayne.
